Nancy Agnes Duke (Pheobe Gibbs Mabry , Anne (Nancy) Rives , William McGuffy Rives , Thomas Henry Rives , Mary Pegram , Daniel , George ) was born^{1, 2, 3, 4} on 12 Mar 1857 in Warren Co., North Carolina. The 1900 Census reflects the couple have been married for 25 years. They have had 8 children with 6 living. The 1910 Census again shows the couple have had 8 children with 6 living. Their son, Edward B. is living next door to them.

They had the following children:

Pelor married (2) Granville Riddle in 1902. Granville was born¹ about 1864 in Kentucky.

The 1910 Census shows the couple have been married for 8 years. Pelor shows she has had 6 children with 6 living. This clearly conflicts with the 1900 census when she had 3 children living and one deceased. Based on the ages of the children in the home of Granville and Pelor in 1910, only 2 of the children could have been born to her. The only child from her prior marriage who is still at home is Horace, age 14.

In 1920 Alline and Ocie are still at home.

The 1900 Census shows the couple have been married for 12 years. They have had 8 children, with 5 living. Based on the location of the births of their children, it would appear they moved to Kentucky shortly after their marriage. They returned to Tennessee for a brief period where they are found on the 1900 Census but then returned once more to Kentucky where they are found in 1910.
