Her obituary which appeared in the Greensboro News Record on December 6, 1996 reads in part as follows:

Mrs. Carrie Pegram Morris, 90, a resident of Britthaven of Kernersville, died Thursday, Dec. 5, 1996, at Forsyth Memorial Hospital. The funeral will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Pierce Funeral Home Chapel, by the Rev. J.D. Morris, III and the Rev. Louis Hill. burial will follow in the Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Morris was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Lucy Needham of Kernersville; two sons, J.D. Morris of Oak Ridge, and Robert F. Morris of Kernersville; half-sister, Mrs. Hattie Barrow of Kernersville; half-brother, Vance Pegram of Danbury; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Carrie married John D. Morris son of John H. Morris and Lucie Unknown. John was born ¹ in 1903 in North Carolina.

In 1930, the couple were living with with John H. Morris, father of John D. Morris, in Oak Ridge, Guilford Co., North Carolina.

His obituary reads in part as follows: IRON STATION - Mr. John D. "Jack" Morris Jr., 75, of 568 Amity Church Road, went to be with the Lord on Sept. 10, 2001, at Gaston Memorial Hospital. He was born Aug. 19, 1926, to the late John D. and Carrie Pegram Morris of Kernersville. He graduated from Summerfield High School and attended the Oak Ridge Military Academy in Oak Ride. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Morris was an insurance agent for Pilot Life Insurance Co. and Charlotte Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. before he retired. He was also a newspaper carrier with the Greensboro Daily News and the Winston-Salem Journal. He was a member of the Beth Haven Baptist Church in Denver, N.C. Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his son, the Rev. J.D. Morris who was the pastor of the Beth Haven Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marie Williard Morris of Iron Station; a daughter, Sheri M. Bumgardner and her husband Jeff of Mount Holly; two grand-children, Jeffrey and Lauren Bumgardner of Mount Holly; a daughter-in-law, Sonya P. Morris of Denver, N.C.; a sister, Lucy M. Needham of Kernersville; and a brother, Bob Morris of Walkertown.
				John married Marie Williard.

He died on 11 Jul 1997 in Germantown, Guilford Co., North Carolina. He was buried in Pleasant Ridge United Church of Christ Cemetery, Guilford Co., North Carolina.

His obituary which appeared in the Greensboro News & Record on July 13, 1997, reads in part:

Mr. Vance Dale Pegram, 73, of Germanton died July 11, 1997. Mr. Pegram was the youngest child born to the late Daniel Rush and Annie Blanche Gossett Pegram. He served in the Navy in the South Pacific during World War II and was a tobacco and cattle farmer. He was a member of Pleasant Ridge United Church of Christ. Mr. Pegram was preceded in death by three brothers; and five sisters: Lucian Pegram, Roy Pegram, Wade Pegram, Allie Tyson, Carrie Belle Morris, Florence Pegram, Lake Matthews and Hattie Winfree. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Pegram and one daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Greg Gorham; sister, Hallie Barrow; and many nieces and nephews.

Vance married Mary Ann Unknown.
