1177. Charles M Moore ^{1, 2} (Cynthia Bell , Nancy Pegram , George , Daniel , Daniel , George ) was born ^{3, 4, 5} on 11 Jan 1847 in Montgomery Co., Tennessee. He died ⁶ on 10 Mar 1917 in Montgomery Co., Tennessee.

He is named as a son of James Moore and Cynthia Bell in the Will of Jacob Bell, probated in 1854 in Cheatham Co., Tennessee. In 1870, he is still at home with what appears to be his wife whose name is only shown as M. E. age 20. It also appears that he has a son, also names Charley, age 2. In 1880 we find a Charles Moore in Robertson Co. where the family was prior to moving to Cheatham Co. We can not be positive this is the family of our Charles Moore. The 1880 Census does show a child, age 12, names James. If Charles was married in 1870, his wife must have died since he married a Maria Winlock in 1872. He is found on a 1891 Cheatham Co., Tn. voters list but appears to be gone by 1900.

Charles married ¹ Martha Chambliss on 28 Jul 1868 in Robertson Co., Tennessee.

We do not have proof that Josephine Moore who married John J. Evans is the same as Josephine Moore who is shown as a daughter of James and Cynthia Bell Moore but the ages agree. If so, they were first cousins.

Josephine married ¹ John J. Evans son of Miles W. Evans and Elizabeth Bell on 29 Apr 1869 in Cheatham Co., Tennessee. John was born ^{2, 3, 4} in 1846 in Warren Co., North Carolina.

He is named as a child of his brother John J. Vaughn in the Will of William Thomas Vaughn probated in 1867 in Warren Co., North Carolina.

In 1880, he is still single, living with his sisters, Elizabeth (Bettie) and Rebecca.

We have no proof that James M. Vaughan is one and the same as James M. Vaughn who was living in Mecklenburg Co., Virginia in 1900. However we find no other James M. Vaughn in North Carolina prior to 1900 with matching birthday.

James married Elizabeth A. in 1890. Elizabeth was born ¹ in May 1851 in Virginia.

1196. Tempie Williams Vaughan (James Madison Vaughan , Elizabeth Pegram , Gideon , Daniel , Daniel , George ) was born ¹ in 1867 in Nash Co., North Carolina. She died ² on 28 Nov 1918.

Tempie married Cicero F. Ellen son of Cordal. N. F. Ellen and Martha Manning in 1898 in Nash Co., North Carolina. Cicero was born ¹ in 1854. He died on 19 Nov 1916 in McDowell Co., North Carolina.

This was the 2nd marriage for Cicero and 1st for Tempie. The 1910 Census shows the couple have been married for 12 years. Tempie has had 3 children with 2 living.

They had the following children:

1200. William Henry Nicholson ¹ (Gideon Wesley Nicholson , Martha L. (Patsey) Pegram , Gideon , Daniel , Daniel , George ) was born ^{2, 3, 4} on 20 Nov 1864 in Warren Co., North Carolina. He died on 21 Jun 1926. He was buried ⁵ in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Littleton, Halifax Co., North Carolina.

His occupation was listed as "traveling salesman" on census records. His daughter, Gene N. Hecht, reported to Rebecca Dozier that her father bought out several cigar companies in North Carolina and Virginia, consolidating them to form the Consolidated Cigar Company.

William married Elizabeth Rebecca (Lizzie) Johnston ¹ daughter of Sterling Johnston and Mary Jane (Jennie) Johnston on 1 Apr 1891. Elizabeth was born ² on 15 Apr 1872 in Warren Co., North Carolina. She died on 21 Feb 1958 in Littleton, Halifax Co., North Carolina. She was buried in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Littleton, Halifax Co., North Carolina.

Elizabeth was a graduate of Littleton Female Academy, Class of 1890. In 1930, she was a widow and living with her daughter, Ruth Nicholson Ashby, in Raleigh, North Carolina.

They had the following children:

	3981	F	vi	Louise Dumais Nicholson was born on 23 Sep 1911 in Warren Co., North Carolina. In 1930 she was still single, living with her sister, Ruth Nicholson Ashby, in Raleigh, North Carolina.
				Louise married Julian Efird. He was from Tampa, Florida. They lived in Topeka, Kansas.

1203. Dr. Hugh Gideon Nicholson ¹ (Gideon Wesley Nicholson , Martha L. (Patsey) Pegram , Gideon , Daniel , Daniel , George ) was born ^{2, 3} on 29 Aug 1871 in Warren Co., North Carolina.

He later lived in Sirka, Alaska.

Hugh married Roberta Coleman on 16 Apr 1903. Roberta was born ¹ about 1881 in West Virginia.

The 1900 Census shows the couple have been married for 20 years. They have had 6 children with 4 living, all of whom are still in the home.

John married (1) Roberta Jeffries (Jeffreys) daughter of Hillory Jeffries (Jeffreys) and Susan on 3 Dec 1879 in Palmer Springs, Mecklenburg Co., Virginia. Roberta was born ^{1, 2, 3} in Oct 1854 in Palmer Springs, Virginia. She died on 29 Sep 1902 in Warren Co., North Carolina.

They had the following children:

	3990	M	i	Dr. Nathaniel Alber Nicholson was born 1, 2 on 4 Mar 1881 in Virginia. He died on 3 Apr 1933. Apparently the couple had no children. The 1900 Census gives his date of birth as March, 1880 and shows his name as Albert N.
				Nathaniel married Mary Elinor Thomas on 28 Oct 1903. Mary was born 1 about 1881 in Virginia.

	3993	M	iv	Dr. Benjamin Michael Nicholson was born 1, 2 on 22 Aug 1888 in Virginia.
				Benjamin married Pattie Williams on 27 Dec 1911. Pattie was born about 1886 in North Carolina.
	3994	M	v	Dr. John W. Nicholson was born on 29 May 1890. He died in Aug 1966.
	3995	F	vi	Bertie Jeffress Nicholson was born 1, 2 on 5 Jun 1894 in Virginia. She died 3 in Mar 1975 in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
				Bertie married William Abbott Grubb on 15 Feb 1923. William was born 1 about 1883 in Virginia. In 1930, William was the proprietor of a printing company in Norfolk, Virginia. Apparently the couple had no children.

John married (2) Lillian T. Elmore on 11 Nov 1907.

1211. Sarah Nicholson (Wyatt Everett Nicholson , Martha L. (Patsey) Pegram , Gideon , Daniel , Daniel , George ) was born ^{1, 2} in 1849 in Warren Co., North Carolina.

Sarah married ¹ John Amos Harris son of William H. Harris and Susan Sledge on 8 Apr 1865 in Warren Co., North Carolina. John was born ^{2, 3} on 20 Mar 1845 in Warren Co., North Carolina.

His father's Will, (dated June 9, 1854, probated August Court 1854 and recorded in Will Book 43, Page 186, Warren Co., North Carolina) devises all to wife Susan until John Amos is 21 at which time property is to be sold and "an equal division to be made between them".

They had the following children:

	3997	M	ii	Amos Eugene Harris 1 was born 2 about 1876 in North Carolina. He died on 10 Feb 1934 in Richmond, Virginia. He was buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Richmond, Virginia. He was a veteran of the Spanish-American War. He was a printer and at one time worked at the Warren Record in Warrenton. In 1920 he was living in Richmond with a niece and working as a typesetter for Press Publishing in Richmond.

The 1900 Census of Warren Co., North Carolina show Ella as a widow. She has had 6 children with 5 living.

The 1900 Census shows she has had 6 children with 5 living. The birthdate on the 1900 census is probably not correct since she does not appear on the 1850 census of Warren Co., North Carolina and the 1880 Census shows she was age 28, making her birthdate either 1851 or 1852.

Ella married James Duncan about 1873 in Warren Co., North Carolina. James was born ¹ in 1850 in North Carolina. He died before 1900 in Warren Co., North Carolina.

They had the following children:
