In the 1830 census, Ichabod was listed as Icabod Turley in Blue River Township, Harrison County, Indiania. He and his wife were in the 30-40 age bracket; also listed were one male under five (Louis), one male 5-10 (Thomas Boone) and one male 15-20 (Unknown), one female 5-10 (Elizabeth) and one female 10-15 (Mary Ann). On 11 March 1838, Ichabod was present and signed the Last will and Testament of Edward C. Hunter, Washington County, Indiana. In the 1840 census, Ichabod was listed as Ichabod Turry in Blue River Township, Harrison County, Indiana. Alvira Cross (probably the sister of Elizabeth Cross) was listed as living in Ichabod's home [This indicates that Elizabeth probably died before 1850]. Listed in the 1860, 1870 and 1880 Federal Census for Morgan Township, Harrison County, Indiana. The 1860 census listed a Rachel as the spouse of Ichabod.The 1880 Census for Morgan Township, Harrison County, Indiana, indicated Ichabod wa born in Virginia, as well as his mother and father. He was age 83 at the time of the census which provides a birthdate of about 1797. The probate record of Ichabod Turley's estate named the following heirs: By first wife, Catherine Thomas Boone Turley, child Heirs of Mary Wilson who died before her father and left surviving: Francis Wilson; Enoch Wilson; Hiram Wilson; and Sarah Hamilton who died befor her grandfather and left surviving two children, Samuel Hamiston and James Hamilton. The "last" marriage was actually his fourth, the third marriage having been to Susannah Taylor as recorded in Floyd County, Indiana.

Horatio M. Ott was born in 1832/33 in Harrison County, Indiana, the son of Henry and Abigail (Lacewell) Ott. He moved to Menard County, Illinois in the early 1850's, the same time as his older brother Nimrod Ott moved there. I believe there is information on Nimrod Ott in the county history. Nimrod was the father of Jesse M. Ott who became mayor of Petersburg. Horatio married Nancy Atterberry on 16 Apr 1854 in Menard County. As far as I know they didn't have any children.
