Ransom married Lula Mae Smitherman daughter of William A Smitherman and Sarah Malinda Joyner. Lula was born ^{1, 2} on 4 Jul 1895 in North Carolina. She died ³ on 19 Jan 1997 in High Point, Guilford Co., North Carolina.

Her obituary which appeared in the Greensboro News Record on January 21, 1997 reads in part as follows:

Mrs. Lula Smitherman Pegram, 101, of Wesleyan-Arms Manor, and formerly of 507 Ferndale Drive, died Jan. 19, 1997, at the High Point Regional Hospital. The funeral will be in the High Point Friends Meeting House 11 a.m. Wednesday, officiated by Dr. David Kingrey and the Rev. Victor Murchison. Internment will be in the Meeting House Columbarium. Mrs. Pegram was born in East Bend on July 4, 1895, a daughter of William A. and Sarah Melinda Joyner Smitherman. She was married to R. B. Pegram, who died June 1, 1991.. She and her family moved from North Carolina to Mooresville, Indiana, then later to Haviland, Kansas, where she graduated from Friends Academy. She was an alumna of Friends University, Wichita, Kansas; Indiana State Normal, Tera Haute, Indiana; Mrs. Baker's Teacher's College, Indianapolis, Indiana; Woman's College, UNC, Greensboro; and Asheville State Normal, Asheville. She taught school in Mooresville, Indiana, and for a period in Aurora, Colorado, in a one room school house, where she taught all grades. She returned to North Carolina in the early 1900's to teach in the High Point City School system. She was a member of the High Point Central Friends Church, where she was active in the Elizabeth Frye class, and the Elizabeth Sykes circle. She taught Sunday school for many years. She was a member of the High Point Little Theatre and was a former member of the High Point Woman's Club. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Lee Beck of Orlando, F la., Mrs. Dorothy Faye Culler of High Point, Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Walker of Burlington, and Mrs. Betty Jean Herring of Boulder, Colorado; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

				Marjorie married Rayvon Beck 1. Rayvon was born 2 on 12 Aug 1919 in North Carolina. He died 3 in Feb 1979 in Orlando, Orange Co., Florida.

				Elizabeth married 2 Paul Creasy Walker 1 on 23 Dec 1950 in Guilford Co., North Carolina.
	10049	F	iii	Dorothy Pegram was born 1 on 11 Mar 1925 in Guilford Co., North Carolina. Roy and Dorothy are the parents of 4 children.
				Dorothy married 2 Roy B. Culler 1 on 8 Jun 1946 in Guilford Co., North Carolina. Roy was born 3 on 1 May 1925 in Guilford Co., North Carolina.

In 1930, the couple were living in Roanoke, Virginia where Percy was working as a pipe fitter with the railroad.

Percy married Mossie Shores Cockerham daughter of Clarence Ralston Cockerham and Ida Hughes Shores on 29 Nov 1929. Mossie was born ^{1, 2} on 5 Aug 1906 in Stokes Co., North Carolina. She died in Aug 1979 in Roanoke, Roanoke City, Virginia.

He was Assistant Comptroller of Reynolds Tobacco Co. He was a member of Centenary Methodist Church and a number of civic organizations. He was also a pianist of outstanding ability.

In 1900, William was still single and living as a boarder in the home of his future wife, Ima Martin, in Henderson Co., Texas.

The 1910 Census shows the couple have been married for 9 years. They have had 4 children, all living in the home.

We found a notice in the Athens News, dated September 13, 1917 reporting that many local residents had been buying cars. The list included Will McMichael.

William married Ima Jean Martin daughter of George T. Martin and Martha about 1901 in Henderson Co., Texas. Ima was born ^{1, 2} on 26 Mar 1880 in Texas. She died on 4 May 1966 in Henderson Co., Texas. She was buried in Ash Cemetery, Henderson Co., Texas.
