Her obituary which, published April 22, 2001 in the Winston-Salem Journal reads in part as follows:

Kernersville - Mrs. Margie Pegram Hester, 82, of Reidsville Road died Friday, April 20, 2001, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Hester was born in Forsyth County, a daughter of the late Alvin W. and Sudie Dwiggins Pegram, and was a member of the Goodwill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tucker Andrew Hester, brother Walter Pegram and sister Dorothy Fulton. Surviving are a daughter, Linda Jo Parrish, and a son, Mike Hester and his wife Ann, all of Kernersville; grandchildren and their spouses Jeff and Ginger Parrish, Jill and Landon Potts, Nena and Jason Eller, Jason Hester and Travis Hester; great-grandchildren Cody Parrish, Katie Parrish, Sophie Potts, Ashley Hester and Jessica Hester; a sister, Mildred "Mick" Linville of Walnut Cove; and a brother, Donald Pegram of Kernersville. A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday in the Goodwill Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Mervin Garrison.

"Kernersville - Nancy Imojean "Jean" Culler Pegram, 72, of 316A Cherry St. died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born July 27, 1931, in Forsyth County, a daughter of the late David E. and Mary Abagail Welborn Culler. She was a member of Welcome Door Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton O. Pegram. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Mayonne Pegram Cook and husband Carl; a sister, Libby Hanner of Kernersville; two brothers, David Lee Culler of Kernersville and Danny Culler of Winston-Salem; a beloved friend, brother-in-law and traveling companion, James Lee Pegram; his two sons, Jimmie Pegram and Sammy Pegram, adored as sons; and many nieces and nephews from Kernersville, Winston-Salem and Clemmons. A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. today, Nov. 22, at Hayworth-Miller-Cain Chapel by John G. Wolfe III. Inturnment will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory... Jean is remembered by her family and many friends for her sweet nature, kind heart and precious memories."
