In 1920 James, Oscar and Mary were still at home.

Alfred married Cynthia H. Parrish daughter of Harbert D. Parrish and Julia A. Parrish on 10 Jan 1893. Cynthia was born ^{1, 2, 3, 4} in 1865 in Guilford Co., North Carolina. She died in 1936 in Guilford Co., North Carolina. She was buried in Flat Rock Methodist Cemetery, Guilford Co., North Carolina.

In 1850, her parents were living in the home of his father, Reubin Parrish and wife, Elizabeth, in Guilford Co. According to the 1850 Census, Reubin and his wife were born in Granville Co., North Carolina.

In 1880, Cynthia was living with her step-mother, Sarah, who was already a widow. Sarah had one child, Mary Parrish, born about 1877, so her mother had to have died by 1877 and her father died before 1880.

The 1910 Census reflects that Cynthia has had 9 children with 6 living.

They had the following children:

				Coy married 1 Daisy Robbins daughter of John Robbins and Amanda Harold on 7 Jan 1915 in Forsyth Co., North Carolina. Daisy was born 2, 3 on 9 May 1891 in Forsyth Co., North Carolina. She died 4 on 8 Apr 1959 in Forsyth Co., North Carolina. Her death certificate identifies her as the daughter of John Robbins and Amanda Harold.

1345. George Pinkney Pegram (James H. , George , Edward , Daniel , Daniel , George ) was born ^{1, 2} on 25 Nov 1867. He died on 28 Jun 1929.

We are indebted to Judy, a grand-daughter of Webb Vaughn for the information on this family. We hope that others who are trying to determine the parents of Leslie Pegram (who was adopted by George P. Pegram and his wife Lora Self) will be able to complete the picture of the descendants of George Pinkney Pegram.

According to Judy, the family story is that George was seeing both Mary Vaughn (Shug) and Lora Self. When Mary discovered she was pregnant, Lora pretended to be pregnant and her family was of some prominence and put pressure on George to marry Lora. It is also believed that George's two children, Leslie and Frank were adopted. The 1910 census lists Leslie (10 yrs old) in G.P. Pegram's household as a cousin. Frank doed not appear in the home at the time of the 1910 Census.

George Pinkney Pegram left in his will a child's portion of his estate to Webb Vaughn. Webb had died March 1930 before the will was probated and his 4 children got his part of the estate.

George married (1) Mary Elizabeth Vaughn daughter of George Vaughn and Susan E. Susan E. Branson. Mary was born ¹ on 3 Nov 1875 in Stokes Co., North Carolina. She died ² on 3 Dec 1955 in Forsyth Co., North Carolina. She was buried ³ in Belews Creek Christian Church, Forsyth Co., North Carolina.

In 1920 he is found living in Haw River, Alamance Co., North Carolina. The Census shows he is a widow. Living in the home are 4 daughters, ages 25, 16, 14 adn 13 but we are unable to read their names. Also in the home is his youngest son, William P. Pegram.

Eugene married Mary Etta Everette on 1 Feb 1891 in Guilford Co., North Carolina. Mary died before 1920.

They had the following children:

	4373	M	ii	William P. Pegram 1 was born 2 on 21 Jun 1911 in North Carolina. He died on 15 Jan 1971 in Alamance Co., North Carolina. William Pegram for many years operated a movie theatre in Graham, North Carolina.
				William married Ethel DeWeese.

Their marriage record reflects they were married by E. M. Barnard, Minister.

Pinkney married Viola Slate ¹ daughter of A. J. Slate and M. A. Unknown on 17 Dec 1899 in Patrick Co., Virginia. Viola was born ² in 1877 in Patrick Co., Virginia.

They had the following children:

Catherine married ² John Henry Everette ¹ son of John Langston Everette and Nancy L. Perdue on 20 Dec 1898 in Guilford Co., North Carolina. John was born ³ in 1877. He died ⁴ on 5 Aug 1950 in Guilford Co., North Carolina. He was buried in Stokesdale Christian Church Cemetery, Stokesdale, North Carolina.

The records of the Everette family are based on the family Bible which was in the hands of William Henry Everette, a son, until his death. While we have not yet located the family Bible, we have talked to the widow of William Henry Everette and to Levi Everette, a son of William Henry Everette and his wife Katherine Elizabeth Pegram.

On the 1900 Census he is found as a border in the home of Joe S. Landreth in Stokes Co.

The WWI Civil Registration card gives his birth date as June 15, 1877 which differs from his death certificate.

George married Lela Ida Turner daughter of George Turner and Nancy P. Perdue on 20 Dec 1903 in Guilford Co., North Carolina. Lela was born ¹ about 1884 in Rockingham Co., North Carolina. She died on 28 Apr 1974.
