Thomas "Uncle Tom" Leroy Pegram, 66, of 3511 Irwin St. died Monday at his home. Graveside service will be at Stokesdale United Methodist Church cemetery in Stokesdale. He was a Methodist and active in citizens band radio.
Surviving are wife, Dorothy R. Pegram; sons, Paul T. Pegram, Frank L. Pegram, Kenneth R. Pegram, Randy C. Pegram, all of Greensboro; daughter, Mrs. Diane Foust of Gibsonville; sister, Mrs. Grace Moody of Greensboro.

Jesse Odell Dixon, 87, of 8718 Sylvan School Road, Liberty, died at 5:50 p.m., of natural causes, Wednesday, July 3, 1996, at Brithaven of Greensboro after several years of declining health. Mr. Dixon was a native of Guilford County, son of the late Thomas H. Dixon and the late Jennie Moton Dixon. He was retired from Western Electric. He was a member of Wi cker Street Baptist Church, was a charter member of Bessemer American Legion Post 368 in Greensboro, and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mable Pegram Dixon of the home; daughter, Mrs. Tony (Linda) Patterson of Graham; grandchildren, Mrs. Jerry (Ta mmy) Sparrow and Ms. Christy Isley; great-granddaughter, Miss Blake Isley; and sister, Mrs. Maggie Mitchell of Greensboro. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Will Dixon and John Dixon, and sisters, Carrie Cox, Minnie Hilliard, Ella Ray, Mary Cox, Myrtle Porter, and Lee Chrisman.

Burial will be in Mountlawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Pegram was born Jan. 27, 1920, in Wilkes County to Thomas F. and Mary Frazier Cox. She was retired from Wilkes General Hospital and was a member of Welcome Home Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara P. Willens of North Wilkesboro; two sons, Roy T. Pegram of Statesville and William W. Pegram III of Mineral Springs; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Kirkman Sr. of the home; daughters, Mrs. Hope Kirkman Egan of Villa Hills, Kentucky, Mrs. Carolyn Kirkman Sellers of Concord, and Mrs. Robin Kirkman Kluttz of Mt.
