W. K. Matthews says she died young but other family records show she married Peay Waller and had 3 children.

Emily married Peay Waller ¹ on 6 Jun 1844 in Williamson Co., Tennessee. Peay was born ^{2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7} on 25 Oct 1820 in Williamson Co., Tennessee. He died ⁸ on 8 Jan 1901 in Davidson Co., Tennessee. He was buried ⁹ in Binkley-Steele Cemetery, Davidson Co., Tennessee.

The 1900 Census of Davidson Co., Tennessee reflects the couple have been married for 56 years. They have had 3 children and 2 are living. Apparently Mary is deceased since James and Josh are living in the home. Josh shows that he is single and James reflects that he is a widow. However, this may be in error since we do find a marriage license for Josh but none for James. Naturally it is possible that they obtained a marriage record and then did not marry. In any event, he is at home and shown as single on the 1880 Census.

1555. William Edwin Starke ^{1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6} (Martha Scott , Elizabeth Pegram , Edward , Edward , Daniel , George ) was born ⁷ in 1813 in Brunswick Co., Virginia. He died on 17 Sep 1862 in Antietam, Washington Co., Maryland. He was buried in Hollywood Cemetery, Richmond, Virginia.

Born in Brunswick County, Virginia in 1814, he was a cotton broker in Mobile and New Orleans before the war. He was commissioned colonel of the 60th Virginia Infantry in 1861. He was promoted to brigadier general on August 6, 1862 for his conduct during the battles of the Seven Days. He commanded the "Stonewall Division" after the wounding of General Taliaferro at Second Manassas. On September 17, 1862, at Antietam, Starke was wounded three times and died as a result. He is buried at Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond

				Helen married 1 Octo. Routh on 24 Nov 1874 in Tensas Parish, Louisiana.
	4920	F	v	Sallie Stuart Starke 1, 2, 3 was born 4, 5 on 17 Sep 1850 in Alabama. She died after 1929. They later moved to Missouri. The couple had no children.
				Sallie married William Mead Eggleston 1 son of William Eggleston and Mary Louisa Booth on 6 Dec 1881 in Warren Co., Mississippi. William was born in 1859 in Amelia Co., Virginia.

1556. Peter Burwell Starke ^{1, 2, 3, 4} (Martha Scott , Elizabeth Pegram , Edward , Edward , Daniel , George ) was born ^{5, 6, 7, 8} in 1814 in Brunswick Co., Virginia. He died on 13 Jul 1888 in Lawrenceville, Brunswick Co., Virginia.

Prior to the Civil War he was a Stagecoach operator and politician. He served in the Mississippi State Legislature from 1850 -1854 and was elected to the State Senate in 1856.
In February of 1862 he was Col. of 28th Mississippi Cavalry, operations in Mississppi, Vicksburg campaign, commander of 1st brigade in Jackson's cavalry, served under S D Lee in opposing Sherman's advance on Meridian, commanded 28th Mississippi in Atlanta campaign, November 1864 Brig. Gen. in command of a brigade in Forrest's forces, Franklin and Nashville campaign, served in Chalmers' division in Alabama.

After the war he served on the board of levee commissioners. He served one term as Sheriff of Boliver Co., Mississippi before returning to his family farm in Virginia. He was a twin brother of Gen. W. E. Starke.

Peter married (1) Adeline Kirkland ¹ on 14 Dec 1831 in Brunswick Co., Virginia. Adeline was born in Brunswick Co., Virginia. She died ² on 11 Oct 1849 in Boliver Co., Mississippi.

In 1880 the couple were living with Samuel Brown and his wife Sarah in Petersburg, Dinwiddie Co., Virginia. Apparently they were recently married since they have no children.

According to family records, was a telegrapher for L & N Railroad but the 1900 census lists his occupation as blacksmith. Living with the couple is EmmaYoung, age 20, who is identified as a niece.
				Cornelius married Martha F. or T about 1865. Martha was born on 4 Nov 1840. She died on 30 Oct 1901. She was buried in Rest Haven Cemetery, Williamson Co., Tennessee.

My father ran a grist and sawmill by waterpower on Beaverdam Creek, near Burns, Tennessee . We lived there until 1874; my father sold out and we moved to Humphreys County where I met and married Joel Benjamin Potter on November 1, 1876 . ...

Minerva Thomas Benjamin Scott was born about 1832. There is a Minerva Scott shown as age 12, living with the family of Joseph Hawks and wife Rebecca in Vicksburg, Mississippi in 1850. If the age is correct, she would be too young to be the daughter of Thomas. At the same time, we can not identify who the Minerva is who is found on the 1850 Census. Her parents were married in 1831 and her father died in 1832.
