He is shown as William on the 1920 census.

Wilbur married Rena V Harris daughter of Liston Harris and Victoria Cahoon in Mar 1937 in Hyde Co., North Carolina. Rena was born about 1913. She died on 27 Sep 1993.

Her obituary reads:

Rena Harris Gibbs, 80, died September 27 at Pungo District Hospital in Belhaven. A native of Hyde County, she was the daughter of the late Liston Harris, Sr. and Victoria Cahoon Harris. She was a member of the Engelhard Christian Church and the Happy Hearts Club of Engelhard. She was the widow of Wilbur Carl Gibbs who died in 1967. Surviving are a daughter, Wanda G. Mann of Engelhard; a sister, Sunny H. Midyette of Engelhard; and 3 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the family plot in Soule Cemetery in Swan Quarter. Earline married Cecil Ottis Jones on 9 Jun 1934 in Lake Landing, Hyde Co., North Carolina. Cecil was born on 27 Sep 1913 in Ponzer, Currituck Township, Hyde Co. NC. He died on 10 Aug 1997 in Senterra Nursing Home, Hampton, Va. He was buried on 13 Aug 1997 in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens, Suffolk, Va.

Cecil was a native of Ponzer, NC and was retired from Royster Fertilizer Co. Before moving to 1105 Ferebee Ave, Chesapeake he had had a career as a farmer, insurance salesman, New and Observer distributor. He had a great sense of humor. Even in his final years suffering from dementia he would make jokes and keep one laughing.

The 1900 Obion Co., Tennessee. Census, Dist. 9 shows that Fred Long age 15 was living about ten houses from his future wife, Daudie (Dautte or Dorothy) Barnes, age 13.

She was really Fred's third wife. She was Catholic and the church would not acknowledge the wedding so it was annulled.

Georgia married (2) Woodard "Glenn" Aldridge before 1924. Woodard was born on 14 Oct 1886 in Saulsburg, Tennessee. He died on 25 Jun 1957 in Ridgely, Tennessee.

Doutte's husband, Fred Long, died in 1918 and Marie was born in 1922. She, Marie, died March 19, 1993 in Miami, Florida

Marie was married 7 times but to only 5 different men. She married two of her husbands twice.
        Marie married Ledoux Elgie "Mack" Maddox about 1941. Ledoux was born on 27 Apr 1921. He died in Oct 1984 in San Diego (Lakeside), California.
