"Joseph Mann Pegram, Jr., died Thursday at his home. He was 66. Funeral services are 2 p. m. Saturday from Bethel FWB Church, Whartonsville, Revs. Blaney Rowe and Jessie Taylor officiating. Burial church cemetery.
Surviving: daughter Mary P. Humphrey of Brunswick: Mother Mary Ellen Roscoe Pegram of Bayboro, brothers William and Russell W. Pegram of Bayboro, and Robert E. and Elmmo E. Pegram of Arapahoe; sisters Ruth Stephenson of Arapahoe; Mary Jarvis of Reelsboro, Emma Armstrong of Grantsboro, Blanch Griggs of Vandermeer, and Edith Woolard of Washington; and five grandchildren". Funeral Services Will Be Conducted From Home Wednesday Afternoon Mrs. Cassie N. Ratcliff, 26, wife of Horace Ratcliff, of Route 1, Pinetown, died in a local hospital early this morning following an illness of five weeks.
Mrs. Ratcliff was born June 1, 1919, daughter of Mrs. Cora Pegram Craddock and the late Henry Craddock, of Beaufort County. She was a member of the Christian Church of Belhaven.
Surviving are her husband, one son, Harold; one daughter, Lula Mae; her mother; two sisters, Miss Sarah Craddock, of Route 1, Pinetown and Mrs. Ruth Ratcliff of Pantego, and two brothers, William Craddock, of Pinetown, and Troy Craddock, of Bridgeton (Craven Co., NC).
Funeral services will be conducted from the home in the Free Union section, Route 1, Pinetown, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Duffy Toler in charge. Interment will follow in the Ratcliff Family Cemetery.
