The 1900 Census gives her birthdate as May 1850 which would seem logical since she does not appear on the 1850 Census with her parents.

Sarah married Frederick Wilson Rascoe on 18 Apr 1875 in Lake Landing, Hyde Co., North Carolina. Frederick was born ^{1, 2} in Aug 1848 in Beaufort Co., North Carolina.

The 1900 Census shows the couple have been married for 28 years which appears to differ from the 1875 date given in other sources.. They have had 8 children with 6 living. There are 3 children at home and one grand-daughter, Eller S., age 11. We find George living close by but find no other Rascoe families in the area that we can identify as possible children. It is possible the 2 other living children are females who have married.

On the 1850 census of Hyde Co., North Carolina, he is living in the household of Gibbs Hall, age 26, along with Rachel Hall, age 39, John M. Midyette age15 and Dameron Hall, age 2.

The 1900 Census shows that he and Martha have been married for 15 years and have no children.

The 1900 Census shows the couple have been married for 9 years. They have had 5 children, all living. His occupation is listed as fisherman.

Other sources have said he died in 1899 but he is alive at the time of the Census on June 1, 1900.

George married Sarah Cutrell on 7 Jan 1891 in Fairfield, Hyde Co., North Carolina. Sarah was born in Sep 1873. She died in 1965 in Maribel, North Carolina.

Sarah Cutrell married 2nd. Edward C. Sadler. On the 1910 Census, she is shown as the wife of Edward C. Sadler and her two sons by George Edward Pegram are living in the home.

On the same 1910 census, the 2 youngest daughters, identified as Mattie and Zoulyn are living in the home of John O. Sawyer and are identified as cousins on the census.

George and Sarah had the following children:

				Mary married Unknown Blake.

1021. John C. Pegram ^{1, 2} (Singleton George W. , Zachariah , Daniel , Daniel , Daniel , George ) was born ^{3, 4, 5} on 22 Jun 1865 in Hyde Co., North Carolina. He died on 10 Oct 1955 in Washington, Beaufort Co., North Carolina.

Note: One source suggests that Singleton George W. Pegram was married to Miranda ___ after the death of Catherine Jarvis and that Miranda was the mother of John C. Pegram.

The obituary for John C. (Johnnie) Pegram which appeared in the Washington Daily News in Washington, Beaufort Co., NC reads:

Johnnie Pegram, age 90 years, died suddenly of a heart attack at his home, 221 Telfair Street, at 9 o'clock this morning while sawing wood. Mr. Pegram was born in Hyde County, June 22 1865, and was a retired farmer. He was a member of the St. Claire Christian Church of Ransomville He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Cora Midyette of this city 14 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held from the grave side in the Baptist Church Cemetery in Ransomville, conducted by the Rev. Purnell Gallop, his pastor. Interment will be in the Baptist Cemetery. (10 Oct 1955).

The 1900 Census gives his date of birth as June 1867 but he is shown as age 6 on the 1870 Census.

John married ¹ Sarah Rose daughter of Jeptha F. Rose and Allie\Alice\Ally M. Brinn in 1886 in Hyde Co., North Carolina. Sarah was born ² on 3 Mar 1855 in Hyde Co., North Carolina. She died on 16 Mar 1929 in Ramsonville, Hyde Co., North Carolina.

Apparently Sarah was married previously. The 1900 Census shows she has had 9 children with 4 living but only the 2 daughters are shown. Since they have only been married for 14 years, any other children by this marriage would be too young to have left home.

Obituary from Hyde County Messenger, Feb.. 1933:

Mrs. Bart Hall of Swan Quarter died on February 9 and was buried at Soule's church. Rev. W.G. Lowe conducted the service. A husband, son and daughter, survive to mourn her departure.

In Memory Of by Martha Rebecca Swindell and R. S. Spencer, Jr. states Abydilla Hall was born January 18, 1870 and died February 9, 1933. Her husband was Bartlett Hall and she was the daughter of Singleton S. Pegram and Purlina Sawyer.

The 1900 Census of Hyde Co. gives her birth date as Jan. 1876 which is probably incorrect since it also shows she has been married for 12 years.

Abydilla married ¹ Bartlett Hall son of Bejanmin Hall and Prudence Rose in Hyde Co., North Carolina. Bartlett was born on 15 Jan 1868 in Hyde Co., North Carolina. He died on 8 Aug 1942 in Hyde Co., North Carolina.

They had the following children:

His obituary appeared in the Hyde County Messenger in 1941 as abstracted by by Kay Midgett Sheppard for the Hyde Co., North Carolina web site shows:

"Mr. Liddle John Pugh Midyette, was 83 years old. He died at the home of his son Everette at Lake Landing. He was a native of Hyde County and was known by his friends as "Tobey". At his own request he was buried in a casket he made himself several years ago. Surviving are two daughters: Mrs. Amanda Gibbs of Pungo and Mrs. S.R. Gibbs (Ina Gertrude) of Lake Landing; three sons: Everett of Lake Landing, Oscar (Edward Oscar) of Bath and Dammer (Dameron Harry) of Hatteras. [IMO states Little John Pugh "Tobe" Midyette, Jr. was born August 10, 1857 and died January 30, 1941. He was the son of Little John Pugh Midyette, Sr.. and Amanda Pegram. He was married first to Sophia Ann E. Gibbs; second to Mrs. Mary Jane Armstrong Williams; and third to Mrs. Charity Brooks Saunderson. He was buried in Amity Church cemetery in Lake Landing.] "

Sophia was the daughter of Sophis Gibbs and wife, ____ Hathaway.
