She is survived by her sons, Alvin Pegram and wife, Marylene of Greensboro, Marvin Pegram and wife, Shirley of Charlotte, Mickey Pegram and wife, Elaine of Summerfield; daughters, Magdalene Stewart and husband, Charlie of Lewisville, Nancy Isley and husband, Ray of Stokesdale, Elaine Smith of Stokesdale, Judy Smith and husband, Lynn of Brenham, Texas; 19 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Pegram, and by her grandson, Gary Isley. Burial in Oak Level Baptist Church Cemetery.

Her age is given as 13 on the 1910 Census.

A native of Stokes County, he was a member of Oak Level Baptist Church and a retired farmer and furniture worker. Surviving are wife, Mrs. Mamie Pegram Pardue; sons, Walter N. Pardue, Jarvis Ray Pardue, both of Kernersville; brothers, Izra Pardue, Albert Pardue, Archie Pardue, all of Kernersville; two grandchildren.

Archie E. Pardue, 82, died Nov. 8, 2000, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born April 5, 1918, the son of Norman J. and Cora Lea (Freeman) Pardue. Mr. Pardue was a tobacco farmer and had retired from Burlington Industries of Kernersville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Pegram Pardue and his daughter, Sarah Jean Pardue Pegram. Survivors include his son-in-law, Larry and Martha Pegram of Kernersville and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, 2000, at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory, Kernersville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Jiles Pegram; a son, Bobby Lester Pegram; a brother; and three sisters. She retired from Lacy Manufacturing with 30 years of service, and she was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church and the Fairview Garden Club.

Survivors are a daughter, Judy McLain, of Lexington, N.C.; three sisters, Catherine Friddle of Stokesdale, N.C., Helen Roberts of Greensboro, N.C. and Julia Sauls of Burlington, N.C.; and four grandchildren.
